I have my own mounting method whereby I don’t need to drill holes in the bottom of the box. Yes, I recommend this product. By slick on December 29, 2019. Like the fact that the battery is copletely sealed in the trunk no gases to escape into the trunk. Best plastic battery box I could find. By John on June 08, 2017. This is a very robust battery box and the designers did good job of providing seals for the vent tube, cables and the lid, but neglected to provide seals for the mounting/battery hold down rods. The rods are right up against the side walls if you use the hold down bracket as a template. I would have been simple to have added bump outs on the sides and provided rubber seals to prevent leakage in the event the battery acid reaches bottom of the box. Will end up sealing the rods with silicone. By FredsFab on January 09, 2016. Nice box, I like the way it seals up the battery. Box is a little bulky, you need a big area to install it. By MJ on February 15, 2012. I used the battery box for my race car. Its mounted behind my seat so I wanted a sealed box. I like this one cause it wasnt too big and its a complete kit. Its not flimsy either. Speedway Motors is America’s Oldest Speed Shop® and has been a trusted source for specialty rodding and racing products and friendly expert advice for more than 74 years.
